At 10,087 feet, Saddlebag Campground is the highest drivable campground in California. This high-country campground is within walking distance of Saddlebag Lake. Many of the campsites have fantastic views of the lake located below. The beautiful alpine lake is popular for fishing. Other than fishing, there are many great hikes in the area including the 20 Lakes Basin.

Group site: $110 per night
Reservations are not accepted for single sites. Reservations for the group site can be made by visiting recreation.gov or by calling (877) 444-6777.

Directions
From Highway 395 in Lee Vining, turn west on State Route 120 (Tioga Pass). Continue on State Route 120 (Tioga Pass) for 9.9 miles to reach Saddlebag Lake Road. Turn right on Saddlebag Lake Road. Continue on Saddlebag Lake Road for 2.4 miles to reach the turn off for the campground on the right.
